Back Up Your WordPress Blog
It is very important to back up your wordpress blog regularly. How terrible would it be if you logged into your dashboard and everything was gone?
Today I am going to show you an easy way to back up your wordpress blog so you never have to worry about loosing any of your hard work.
Control Panel To Back Up Your WordPress Blog
Go to your control panel (C-Panel) In the C-Panel go down to where it says Files, then click on the back up wizard. This will give you the steps Back Up /Restore. The main 2 things you need to back up are the Home Directory and the MYSQL Databases. The e-mail forwarder configurations and email filter configurations have more to do with the actual running of your website. Click on Back Up, and then you can choose whether or not you want to do a full back up or just a partial.
Do A Full Back Up Your WordPress Blog
I would go ahead and do a full back up to begin with and the just do partial back ups in the future. What you want to do is click on the home directory and then download this to your computers hard drive. Click on the home directory button, this will bring up a pop up window, make sure that the save file button is selected and click OK to download it.
The procedures for the MYSQL Data bases is pretty much the same, right click and hit save as and save it to your hard drive.
WordPress Data Base Back Up
Once you have your wordpress set up, the only thing that really changes is you’re my SQL Data Bases. You can go ahead and save this like I stated above or there is an easier way to do this and that is by using a plug in.
The plug in that I use is called WordPress Database back up. This backs up the table and everything in your my SOL Data Bases. It is called the wp-db-backup.zip You can download this from this site here http://autinmatzko.com/wordpress-plugins/wp-db-backup You will need to download this and install manually and then activate it. But once this is done you will see it in your plug ins in your dashboard of your wordpress blog.
Click On Tools For Back Up
You will also see this under the tools section in your dashboard, click on tools and you will see back up. Click on this to configure and it will enable you to download your data base tables. I would click on exclude spam comments, but leave the post revisions unchecked. The next step will be to back up to your server, your computer or have it e-mailed to any e-mail address you wish. Go ahead and click back up, you will see the progress; it just takes a few minutes to get this done.
Schedule A Back Up
The other thing you can do with this plug in is to schedule your back ups at a particular time. You can have this e-mailed to you once a week as an attachment. This is alright if you are just getting started, but after years of posts and comments you may find the attachment to be a little large. But when you are just getting started this is not a bad idea.
This is how you Create Back Ups for you WordPress Blog! Do you back up your wordpress blog? Do you have a different way to get this done? Please share with a comment below?

Hello,
Great post… Some of the important things about your WordPress backup is that you store your backups outside your hosting account and that you workout a great backup strategy for automatic backups…
I’ve described a good mix of daily, weekly and monthly backups with auto-deletion of old backup archives in my WordPress Backup article.
On the WordPress Security site you can also download a free, comprehensive WordPress Security Checklist, which will help just about everyone improve their security…
Just my two cents… keep up the great work!
Anders
