CraigsList Strategies/ Getting Your Game Plan In Place
Wow, What a week it has been, I just got done shoveling out again Lot’s of snow and it is COLD here in the North Woods of Wisconsin. So have you been learning anything from my CraigsList training made simple this week?
Alright today we are going to talk strategies, there has to be a strategy to follow. I have given you a lot of tools to use to place your ads on CraigsList, but without a strategy in place nothing is going to happen RIGHT? Just like that tool box you have sitting out in your garage; if you don’t physically use them they are useless!
You Need A Game Plan Set Up In Order To Use CraigList Effectively
First of all I recommend only placing 1 or 2 ads in a 1 or 2 different cities a day on average. This should generate a few leads per day for you just from posting your ads on CraigsList, if not more.
I do want you to take action, but I do not want you to go crazy! I have mentioned this before, do not post more ads then you can handle. Remember those ads you posted on CraigsList yesterday and the day before are still active.
Responding To Your Leads From CraigsList
So the rule of thumb in business is to pick up the phone and call these people with 1 to 5 business days after they have filled out your form. Be professional, remember when you first filled out your first application? What did you do? You went home and waited Right? And after a week went by you thought “Hum No Call Back, No Job.”
You will be able to see the minute these people fill out your form, but you don’t want to seem desperate so don’t go calling them right away, just follow up with these people from your CraigsList ads in a timely manner. Now I know you have their e-mail and you may be thinking “Hell I will just shoot them a quick e-mail.” But do not do this, if they give you’re their number, call them.
Simple Strategies For CraigsList
Alright I do know these strategies may see to be very simple, I just want to stress the importance of taking baby steps into the CraigsList system! Post 2 ads a day, 5 days a week, Yep go ahead and take weekends off. Then start back up again on Monday and keep taking consistent actions and you will start to generate more than enough people to talk to about your online business.
Here is something that I would suggest doing as well, make a new form for each ad. If you really want to track your results you can make a new form for each city to, this is totally up to you. I don’t know how serious you are about building your business nor do I know how much time you are willing to dedicate to posting ads on CraigsList all I am saying is to take consistent action and track your progress.
When posting ads to CraigsList you need to learn how to play the game, mix and match the pieces together. You are going to get different results with different cities, and you may even get different results with a different ad in the same city. Are you getting the picture? Each piece of the puzzle can make a difference.
Use a different headline with a different image until you find one that works for you. Keep posting those ads on CraigsList and watching for those responses. Yes they will come and then you need to give these people a call and use those answers to base your next questions around.
You need to get good at testing and measuring and if you are not doing this for your CraigsList ads you are just shooting from the hip and you will never improve. Find that right combination that works best for you.
Some Cities On CraigsList Will Charge A Fee
Some cities that you are going to come across on CraigsList are going to cost you $25 if you choose to post ads in them. The reason being is that these particular cities get so much traffic. Yes most of CraigsList ads are free but the audience is smaller. If you do choose to spend the $25 I feel you will be getting your moneys worth, but this is up to you. You do get what you pay for on CraigsList because you will be posting in a bigger city.
Another Strategy For Posting Your Ads On Craigs List
Here is another strategy I want to share with you when posting ads on CraigsList, let’s say you are going to post your ad in Northern Wisconsin, your title is “Looking For Team Members In Northern Wisconsin” Now you go on over to the next city, let’s say Madison and place the same ad, but you just change the title to “Looking For Team Members In Madison”
See you are using the same title but just changing it up a tiny bit. This is great way not to use duplicate content on CraigsList. Mix and match, tweak your ads, remember what I said earlier, you can also do this in the body of your ad to if you want, looking to hire full time team members in the mid west. Don’t duplicate your ads on CraigsList, they do frown on this and your ads will get ghosted.
